There’s something special about taking a trip that’s just the two of you. No packed schedules, no rushing from place to place, just time to slow down, relax, and actually enjoy being together. When it comes to planning a couple’s getaway, the destination really matters. You want somewhere that feels easy, beautiful, and a little indulgent without being over the top.
That's where JW Marriott Marco Island Beach Resort comes in.
We recently spent two nights at this luxurious oceanfront resort on Florida’s Paradise Coast, and it checked all the boxes for a couple's escape, including the Paradise by Sirene experience, a beautiful Gulf view from our room, indulging at the incredible dining options, lounging by the pools, and enjoying the beachfront access.

Getting There
JW Marriott Marco Island is located on Marco Island, just south of Naples. The most convenient airport to fly into is Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) in Fort Myers, which is about an hour drive to the resort. If you're an out-of state visitor, this is where you'll most likely be flying into.
If you’re coming from within Florida, Marco Island is easily accessible by car. The resort is about a 30-minute drive from downtown Naples and just over two hours from Miami, making it a great option for a long weekend. Once you cross onto Marco Island, the drive along the coast really sets the tone for the stay!
Rental cars are the most flexible option, especially if you plan to explore Naples or nearby beaches during your trip, but rideshares and private transfers are also readily available from the airport. If you’re planning a stay focused entirely on the resort, you can easily arrive, park, and not touch your car again until checkout.

About JW Marriott Marco Island
Set directly along Florida’s Gulf Coast, JW Marriott Marco Island feels like you’ve landed somewhere far more tropical than the west coast of Florida. Pulling up to the property honestly feels more like arriving in Hawaii, with palm-lined paths, open-air spaces, and a true resort atmosphere right from the start.
The property is expansive, giving you plenty of space for relaxation and exploration. There are 12 unique restaurants and bars, three main pool areas, and a world-class spa, all paired with direct beachfront access along Marco Island’s white-sand shoreline. And if you're a golfer, you'll appreciate that the resort is associated with two nearby championship golf courses, so you can pair beach time with a round or two while on Marco Island.

The Rooms
Our accommodation at JW Marriott Marco Island was nothing short of wonderful. We stayed in a Gulf View Room within the Paradise by Sirene section of the resort, which offered a quieter, more elevated experience designed especially for adults.
The room featured a comfortable, well-laid-out space with a private balcony overlooking the Gulf, making it easy to start and end the day with ocean views. The design felt clean, elegant, and coastal, with thoughtful touches that made it a relaxing place to come back to after time at the pool or beach.
In addition to standard guest rooms, the resort also offers suites and upgraded accommodations throughout the property, including options tailored to guests seeking a more exclusive stay.
This resort really stands out in the details. Daily housekeeping, snacks and prosecco, plush robes, and an extremely comfortable bed all made the stay feel effortless.
Paradise by Sirene
For our stay at the JW Marriott Marco Island, we went with the Paradise by Sirene experience, which is the adults-only (21+) section of the resort, and it feels completely separate from the main areas.
This section of the resort includes 94 Balinese-inspired rooms, so it’s much smaller and more intimate than the rest of the property. Guests staying in Paradise by Sirene have access to a private rooftop pool, a dedicated section of the beach, and a $100 nightly resort credit, which can be used for dining, the spa, golf, or other experiences at the resort.
Because Paradise by Sirene is set apart from the main resort area, it genuinely feels like its own retreat within a retreat. If you’re visiting Marco Island as a couple and want a more relaxed, adults-focused experience without giving up access to everything the larger resort offers, Paradise by Sirene is absolutely worth considering!
The Dining
One of the highlights of our stay was the dining! JW Marriott Marco Island boasts 12 onsite restaurants and bars, each offering a unique culinary experience. Here are some of our favorites:
Kane Tiki Bar & Grill
Kane Tiki Bar was the very first place we stopped after arriving at the resort, and it made a great first impression! It’s Polynesian-inspired and sits right along the water, with beautiful views of the Gulf that immediately put you in vacation mode.
We shared the pork belly bao buns, which were perfect for a light bite after a long drive, and both ordered Miami Vices, which felt like the right call given the setting. The atmosphere is relaxed but lively, making it an easy place to settle in, take in the view, and officially kick off your stay. Between the location, the drinks, and the scenery, it's a great spot to start your day.

Quinn's
We went to Quinn’s for a late dinner, and it ended up being one of our favorite meals of the trip! It’s a modern beachfront restaurant right on the water, and when we arrived, we asked if we could sit at one of the tables in the sand. Most guests were seated on the patio, which made the experience feel extra special because we had the area all to ourselves.
The housemade cheddar biscuits are an absolute must and were easily one of the standout bites of the night. For entrées, I ordered one of the housemade pastas, while Logan went with the lobster roll, and both were excellent. We also shared a strawberry cocktail (I can't remember the name, possibly the Agua Fresca or The Garden Fizz?), the picture is below so you can ask your waiter/waitress!
Between the food, the beachfront tables, and the relaxed atmosphere, Quinn’s is an easy recommendation if you’re looking for a memorable dinner without leaving the resort.

Tesoro
We didn’t have a traditional dinner at Tesoro, but we were lucky enough to experience something even more special: the Southern Neapolitan Night Garden & Gun event, which was hands down one of the best dining experiences we’ve ever had!
Here's us + the event photos :) Also, if you're wondering where the dress is from, I got it on Amazon!
The evening featured a four-course menu with wine pairings, followed by desserts, all prepared by the chefs at Tesoro. Each course leaned into Southern Italian flavors with thoughtful presentation, and the pacing of the meal made the whole experience feel relaxed rather than rushed. It was the kind of dinner that feels more like an event than just a meal, with great food, great company, and a setting that made the night feel memorable from start to finish.
Because the entire menu was crafted by the Tesoro culinary team, it gave us a really good sense of the level of food you can expect when dining there normally. If you’re planning a stay at JW Marriott Marco Island, it’s absolutely worth checking to see if Garden & Gun has an upcoming event at the resort, as these dinners are truly something special. You can find their current event lineup here.
Pool & Beach
What's a couples trip without a little quality pool and beach time?
Surrounded by palm trees and comfy lounge chairs, the pool area is pure relaxation. We sipped on delicious cocktails and basked in the Florida sunshine, what's better than that?! There's also a family pool for those of you that have kiddos, complete with a waterslide.
And for the beach, we would go as far as calling it the crown jewel of Florida's west coast. It's absolutely stunning with white sand, crystal clear water, and plenty of wildlife (we saw a pod of dolphins swimming just feet from the shore a few times during our stay!) If you want to add a bit more luxury to your beach day, we'd recommend renting a Chickee Hut for the day.
For something a little more active on the water, you can reserve a catamaran sailing, wave runner excursion, dolphin watching tour, or even parasailing! And while we're on the topic of beach activities, don't miss out on morning yoga right on the shore, but if that's too zen for you, make sure to check out the daily Sunset Celebration which is a Balinese inspired fire dancer performance.
Final Thoughts
Our trip to JW Marriott Marco Island was like something out of a dream and one of our favorite stays in 2025! It was pure luxury, relaxation, and full of unforgettable moments. Between the breathtaking property, elegant rooms, beach and poolside paradise, the delicious dining options, and the activities, every second was a slice of heaven.
If you’re looking for the perfect couples getaway that blends beautiful surroundings with top-notch luxury, JW Mariott Marco Island should be at the top of your list. So pack your bags, grab your significant other, and get ready for a coastal escape that will leave you with memories that last a lifetime!
